Goalkeeper Training For 8-16 Year Olds
The Club is running a two day course for budding shot stoppers across the region with coaching from First Team goalkeeper John Achterberg.
The course for 8-16 year olds takes place on Wednesday 29th October and Thursday 30th October 2008 at Ingleborough Training Ground, Prenton.
It will be an ideal opportunity for a young goalkeeper to receive expert coaching under the supervision of our Goalkeeper Coach John Achterberg and other goalkeeping coaches at the Club.
Included in the course will be technical work, focusing on the aspects of handling, diving, footwork, crosses and distribution. Goalkeepers will also be given the chance to put the techniques into practise under pressure in small sided game situations. The coaching staff will use clinics to demonstrate the various techniques and break them down into manageable practises.
