Ronnie: "Everyone Wants To Play"
Ronnie Moore says he hopes Saturday's pre-season friendly against Liverpool will help him in his bid to bring in loan players from the Premier League.
The Rovers manager told Tranmere World: "It's a brilliant fixture, you can see that from the response of the Wirral public. They can't wait to see the game and it's a 15,000 sell out, which is just what you want for your first pre-season game.
"Everyone wants to play…I want to play! Whoever plays, they play for Liverpool so they'll be good players.
"Rafa is going to be here so it will be nice to meet him and maybe we can talk about one or two ideas I've got for them becoming a feeder club for us!
"It's a matter of trying to get my feet under the table there, having a little chat and seeing what we can do. I think we're tailor made for Liverpool, Everton, Manchester United and Manchester City. They've got big squads and there's a lot of players who won't get games who would fit in here nicely."
Meanwhile, Moore spoke highly of new signing Edrissa Sonko.
He added: "Sonko gives us something I thought we were lacking last season - a lot of pace. He can play on the right which puts pressure on Shuker, he can play on the left and he can play centre midfield. He played a lot in the centre of midfield last season for Walsall and got four goals in a month from the centre of midfield. It's nice to have him on board."
