Ronnie: "I'd Like To Think It's A One Off"
Ronnie Moore believes there was little his defenders could have done to prevent three of the goals his side conceded on Friday night.
Rovers lost 4-3 at home to Colchester with the U's scoring four of their six shots.
The Manager told Tranmere World: "At 4-1 down I was thinking 'what's going on here?' The only time we didn't defend well was for the third goal. With the other goals, sometimes you've got to hold your hand up and say there was nothing you could do about them. At 4-1 we were dead and buried but then their keeper let us back in the game and Ryan Shotton scored a wonder goal. There were four goals, that if they were scored in the Premier League, they'd be raving about them all week.
"I like to think it's a one off as I don't think they'll hit so many shots from the edge of the area and have them go into the net again.
"It's frustrating for everybody. We're lacking a break, a bit of good fortune and a bit of luck."
Meanwhile, Moore said he would assess his options for the Carlisle game on Saturday,
The Manager added: "The lads are all fit and want to play. We've got experienced players, and you won't keep everybody happy. There's only 16 who can be involved each week and there will be some who miss out. You have to go by your gut feeling and judgement. Does anybody deserve to come out after losing 4-3? Do you change the way you play at Carlisleā¦these are all things that go through your head as a Manager."
