Ronnie Moore paid tribute to his side after they claimed a 2-1 win at Carlisle United.

Ian Moore and Ryan Shotton were on target in the victory which lifted Rovers to 12th in League One.

The Manager said: "We were the best side from start to finish and on another day we'd have won by four or five. I'm pleased with our progress, we're going in the right direction. We've got our away form right, we've just got to get the home form right now.

"I'm disappointed with their goal - it was another set play and almost the last kick of the game.

"When we went 2-0 up we should have gone on. I want a clean sheet, Danny wants a clean sheet, but if we keep winning 2-1 that will do for me.

"When you come to good sides with good home form you can play 4-5-1 and stifle it. We've got Ian wide with pace, we've got Sonko wide with pace. We've got Kaysy in there who likes a shot and Jenno who can get forward. People say it's a defensive set up, but if you use it right and you use the ball quickly it can be a massive weapon."
