Saturday, 30 August, kick off 3pm at Prenton Park

Tranmere Manager Ronnie Moore reported an almost fully fit squad for the game against Northampton, with Godwin Antwi the only injury concern.

The defender, on loan from Liverpool, missed the defeat at Leicester, and was set to have a scan on his ankle yesterday. His place at Leicester went to summer signing Gareth Edds.

Northampton striker Adebayo Akinfenwa has been passed fit to play, but defender Jason Crowe is a doubt with a foot injury. Leon Constantine and Colin Larkin are also described as 'border-line.'

Saturday's match is the 37th meeting between the two sides with both clubs having won 13 of the fixtures. Last season's two meetings ended in a 2-1 win for Northampton at Sixfields, with and a 2-2 draw at Prenton Park. The last time Northampton won in Wirral was back in 1985-86 when a Mark Hilditch goal was only consolation as Tranmere lost 3-1.

Tranmere can be backed to win at 11/10 with bet365, while a 2-0 victory is 8/1. Fancy a scorecast? Andy Taylor scoring first in a 3-2 win is a massive 600/1! Remember, every bet you place at bet365 directly helps the Club.
